It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mom, Cecilia (nee Kosokowsky) Gorsalitz on November 11, 2010, at the age of 85. She leaves to mourn her 7 children: Greg Gorsalitz (Judy Dwinnell), Fred (Maureen) Gorsalitz, Luann (Stan) Struck, Kathy (Jack) Ritchie, Yvonne Gorsalitz (Rick Palin), Susan (Trent) Braid and Murray Gorsalitz; her 13 grandchildren: Bobbi (Sean) Behiel, Keith Gorsalitz (Michelle Burns, Kassi & Kaylon), Sarah (David) Roth, Danny Gorsalitz, Jessica Struck (Justin Stockbrugger), Amy (Brian) Perrier, Natalie Struck, Brad, Derek and Karen Ritchie, Adam Cameron, Jordan and Kendall Braid; her six great-grandchildren: Hannah and Wyatt Behiel, Kobe Struck, Anna Perrier, Megale and Quest Oulette; her three sisters: Margaret Langlois of Wolseley, Loretta Doepker of Saskatoon and Clara (Mitch) Bahrich of Saskatoon; as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews of both the Kosokowsky and Gorsalitz families. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, John Gorsalitz in 2003; daughter-in-law Colleen Gorsalitz; parents, Fred and Florentine (nee Germain) Kosokowsky; her brothers and sisters: Anne (John) Kobelsky, Joe (Liz) Kosokowsky, Mary (Peter) Fortowsky, Peter Kosokowsky, Mike Kosokowsky, Franics Hoess and Fred Kosokowsky. Momma was a funny girl as in a great sense of humor. You can ask any of the nurses and or aids that were involved with taking care of her. She loved guys a lot, she would perk right up if she heard or saw one of the guys. I always remember when talking with mom on the phone if we ran short of words she would then ask how are you doing? You still got all your fingers and toes? She made a lot of quilts in her day as well, she loved to sew and quilt. She also enjoyed the little ones, the grandchildren. Mom and dad would take in the grandchildren as much as possible. She sure was accepting of us kids, anything we did she would never judge us, always bringing us up in a positive way. Thank you so much momma for being who you are. Your spirit will shine on in our memories! Peace be with you now and forever. A Prayer Service for Cecelia was held on Sunday, November 14, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. and the Funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 15, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Both services took place at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Lake Lenore, SK. Cecilia's family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Bethany Pioneer Village, Middle Lake and also Dr. Spelay and staff at St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon for the love and care of Cecilia while she was there.
