Clara Margaret RegnitterMay 25, 1915 - February 12, 2011Clara Margaret (nee Nordick) Regnitter was born May 25, 1915, at Englefeld, Saskatchewan and died on February 12, 2011, aged 95 years, at Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Clara is survived by her children: Henry (Stella), Gerald, Elizabeth (Ed) Frerichs, Mary (Fred) Spilak, Joseph, and Carol Leybourne (Dennis Henry); daughter-in-law, Sandy Regnitter; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and by two sisters: Rose Schmitz and Eda Strunk. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfons; one son, Ronald; parents, Henry Sr. and Elizabeth (nee Breker) Nordick; and by her brothers and sisters: August, Annie, Henry, John, Joseph, Marie, Fritz (Ferdinand), and Elizabeth.Clara fell in love with a handsome man who had taken up farming just a mile to the south of the Nordick home. They were married during the final years of the Great Depression and raised their family on that farm south of Englefeld. Clara loved nothing more than to spend time working with Alfons where ever that was, in the barn or in the field, and still managed to grow a large garden and provide a good home for her family. After Alfons' death in 1988, Clara lived in Watson, Saskatchewan, and during the final 23 years continued to demonstrate love and support for her children, and the courage to make a new life for herself. Clara's early love for playing cards and bingo, as well as for making music became important to her during these final years. Although short in physical size, Clara will be remembered by all as a woman of strength, faith, courage and determination.A Catholic Funeral Mass was offered at Holy Guardian Angels Church, Englefeld, on Wednesday, February 16, at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Darryl Millette. Pallbearers were Clara's family. Interment followed at Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to either the Holy Guardian Angels C.W.L. or the Holy Guardian Angels Cemetery Fund. SCHULER-LEFEBVRE, Humboldt, SK.
