Louise Mary TherresDecember 23, 1955 - April 5, 2011It is with broken hearts that the family of Louise Mary (nee Knaus) Therres of LeRoy, SK, announces her death which occurred at her home on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, following a valiant seven-year battle with cancer. She was 55 years of age. Louise, the youngest of ten children, was born on December 23, 1955, to Wilfred and Alice (nee Cunningham) Knaus at LeRoy. She grew up on the family farm in the LeRoy/Sinnett district. Until Grade 6, Louise attended Loyola School in Sinnett. Then, the family moved to LeRoy where she continued her schooling. On December 9, 1972, Louise married Dennis Therres. Together, they raised four daughters in LeRoy. As well, Louise was employed as a dietary aide at LeRose Lodge in LeRoy and then as an activity worker at Quill Plains Centennial Lodge in Watson. Over the years, the Therres family was actively involved in sports, including curling, skating, snowmobiling and golf. They also enjoyed camping, fishing, water skiing, and spending time with friends at the Therres cabin at Barrier Lake. When Louise was diagnosed with cancer in 2004, there was only one grandchild in the family. In a few short years, eight more arrived. The grandkids always enjoyed Nana's energy and zest for life. Her great sense of humor and infectious laugh endeared her to all.
