The family is saddened to announce that Mrs. Mildred Travis, 82 years, of Watson passed away peacefully at Humboldt District Hospital on Sunday, November 14, 2010.

The family is saddened to announce that Mrs. Mildred Travis, 82 years, of Watson passed away peacefully at Humboldt District Hospital on Sunday, November 14, 2010. Mildred will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her one son, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren: J. David (Shelley) Travis and family, Jennifer Travis, Ryan Travis (Courtney) and their daughter Gracie, Carlin Travis and Kiel Travis (Desiree) and their daughter Danika, all of Calgary; two sisters: Doris (Bob) Steeg of Biggar and Audrey Aird of Maple Ridge, BC; and by numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends. Mildred was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Isabelle Pirie; husband, John Frank Travis; son, Douglas Travis; five brothers and three sisters. An Anglican Funeral Service was held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from Trinity United Church Watson, officiated by Rev. Alex Parsons. Organist was Shirley Chyz and an Honor Guard was formed by the Royal Canadian Legion. Honorary pallbearers were "All those who shared in Millie's life". Pallbearers were David Travis, Ryan Travis, Kiel Travis, Bruce Steeg and Derrick Steeg. Interment followed at Watson Public Cemetery. Memorial donations in Mildred's memory may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society or Watson Minor Hockey. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to MALINOSKI & DANYLUIK FUNERAL HOME, Humboldt.
