Florence was born on December 3, 1929 to John & Emma (nee Johnson) Vetterl at the homestead east of Spalding. Florence led a good life to the age of 80. She grew up in the Spalding area where her parents farmed and she attended school at the Lake Edward School. Florence worked at Wilber's Café in Spalding and had always wanted to open her own restaurant as she was an excellent cook and baker. She worked for Charlotte Glover as a nanny for several years; she also worked at the Red & White Store in Spalding for Joe & Edna Hutchinson. Florence and her late husband, William owned the butcher shop in Spalding for several years until they sold it. She worked at the Spalding Co-op until her retirement due to her health. Florence was a member of the Spalding Willing Workers, Dovre Lutheran Ladies, White Dove, Senior Citizens and also served on the Spalding Homecoming Committee. She loved her flowers, garden, playing cards, and visiting with family and friends, until her health wouldn't allow her to get out as much. The tea kettle or coffee pot was always on and dainties put out when company came to visit. She was a very caring and giving person. She always worried about her family no matter what age they got to be. She was known to her grandchildren for her buns, cinnamon buns and cookies. She spent her entire life in Spalding until Florence and Willie sold their home in October, 2008 and moved to Watson where they resided until present. She will be remembered and cherished forever by everyone. We will never forget you Mom! Florence will be sadly missed by her children, five daughters and one son; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren: Darlene (Doug) Amundson of Naicam and family, Dean (BobbiJo) Amundson and children, Taylor, Keely-Anne, Levi and Graeson all of Red Deer, AB, Diane Amundson and son, Steven both of Naicam and Darwin (Jill) Amundson and children, Cade and Jase all of Innisfail, AB; Charlene Miller (friend, Fred Hinck) of Regina and family, Peggysue (Ronnie) Pfneisl and children, Jordan and Carissa all of Watson, Renee (Roger) Berting and children, Brittanie, Jocelyn and Jayme all of St. Gregor and Jason Miller of Regina; Laverne Vetterl of Spalding; Debbie (Herb) Gillies of Saskatoon and family, Janette (Aarron) Hindman and son, Baden all of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, and Jennifer Swartz and daughter Kendra both of Saskatoon; Faye (Leo) Moisan and family, Christine (Sean) Paul and Bradley Moisan all of Saskatoon; and Shelly (Devin) Plantz and son Wyatt Plantz all of Naicam; and numerous nieces and nephews.
