LANG: Myrna Fay
September 29, 1943 - October 27, 2016
Myrna passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital at the age of 73 years. She is dearly loved and remembered by her children, Anita (John) Shanahan, Warren (Fiona) Lang, Blair Lang, Curtis (Christine) Lang, and Cory (Jessica) Lang; daughter-in-law, Bridgette Lang; seven grandchildren, Jordan Shanahan, Megan (Gord) Quinney, Ava Lang, Logan & Carson Lang, and Lucas & Aiden Lang; four great-grandchildren, Bailey, Elizabeth, Natalie, and Danielle; sister, Janice (Jerry) Novlan; brother, Barry Dueck (Leslie Tallis); as well as numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, and cousins (way too many to mention, but equally loved by all). Myrna was predeceased by her three sons, Craig, Duane, and Shawn Lang; her husband, Leo; and her parents, Arthur and Laura Dueck. Myrna was born, raised and educated in Lucky Lake, SK, the eldest of three children. In 1961 her life changed when she met Leo Lang, a young energized construction worker/owner from Humboldt. They were married on July 7, 1962 and lived in Humboldt where Myrna was busy raising her large family. Myrna’s life was not easy, losing Leo and her three sons to death, she continued to move forward and facing life with her head held high. She enjoyed watching her family play sports, caring for her mother, Yahtzee games, and spending time with her family. A Celebration of Myrna’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1st at Bella Vista Inn in Humboldt. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Stars Ambulance.
