Speaking on events, the Larwood Shaw Memorial Pool Rebuild Project hosted a community gathering to celebrate the end of harvest and raise money for the renovations to the community pool in Porcupine Plain on Saturday, Oct. 29. They had dinner catered by the Dam Smokehouse, a dance with band, Magnum, a progressive 50/50, auction items and a ton of fun. Wheelers Transport gave a $100,000 donation to the pool renovations. It was a very successful fundraising event.
