HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt and District Museum is celebrating a milestone.

On July 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the museum is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a fundraising barbecue and concert.

"Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a burger, anniversary cake and a lunch hour concert from local band The Horse’s Mouth outside the Museum at 602 Main Street," the museum said in a media release.

Those that share their birthdays with the museum will get a special treat.

"Anyone who shares a birthday with the Museum gets a free lunch!' the museum said. "If you were born on July 1, 1982, show your ID and have lunch on us."

The event is being done in conjunction with the Humboldt Downtown Business Improvement District.

"Proceeds and donations raised will help the museum continue to serve the community for another 40 years," the museum said.
