4-H club busy

Maidstone Gully Multiple 4-H Club held a fourth general meeting Jan. 3. The meeting began with the pledge, followed by roll call, then members listened to the minutes from the last meeting before hearing the treasurer's report.

The meeting began with the pledge, followed by roll call, then members listened to the minutes from the last meeting before hearing the treasurer's report. Rylea read a card from Cougen. Members also talked about the Christmas party.

Project reports were given in this order: Beef, Light Horse, Young Horse, Cooking and Woodworking.

Communications night will be held on Feb. 18 at Milleton Hall. Cloverbud speeches will be one to three minutes. Junior speeches will be two to four minutes. Intermediate and senior speeches will be four to eight minutes.

Trip exchange applications were discussed and must be sent in immediately.

A cowboy poetry event is planned for March 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Milleton Hall.

A woodworking demonstration on safety was done by Kenny Sroka.

The meeting concluded with a game of charades.
