93 years young and going strong

I would like to dedicate this article to someone near and dear to our hearts, Sarah (Gillatt) Beaudion. A birthday party was held Jan. 7 in the seniors' hall to celebrate Sarah's 93rd birthday. Family and friends gathered for this event.

Sarah Beaudion, recent guest of honour at a celebration of her 93rd birthday, rarely misses an event held in Maymont. Here she is at this year's New Year's Eve jam session.

I would like to dedicate this article to someone near and dear to our hearts, Sarah (Gillatt) Beaudion.

A birthday party was held Jan. 7 in the seniors' hall to celebrate Sarah's 93rd birthday. Family and friends gathered for this event.

Sarah was born Jan. 7, 1918 and she was married to Walter (Chinny) Beaudion in November 1940.

She is a mother of three boys Albert, Dale and Russell, and a daughter, Terry. She is also a grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

Summer time you have to watch for Sarah as she drives her scooter through Maymont to go to the Maymont Hotel for coffee. Yes coffee, I think Sarah enjoys the odd drink, but not while driving her scooter.

She enjoys sports, especially watching the Saskatchewan Roughriders and curling. She joins the ladies at the seniors' centre to play cards whenever she can.

Sarah always gets family or friends to bring her to events and she seldom misses anything that's happening in Maymont. We'd truly miss her when she isn't there.

We hope you have many many more birthday's, Sarah. It is an honor to be one of your friends.
