Extreme cold warnings on the day of the Saskatchewan Hospital Legacy Trail committee held their second tour out on the grounds of the site of the now demolished building. Joe Campbell and Valerie Higgs came to put up signs where the trail will be in the future. People opted to stay in their cars to drive it instead of risking frostbite by walking.

Marie Wilson spoke about the ongoing importance of bearing witness to the realities of residential schools, the sixties scoop, and the legacy of colonial violence and injustice in Canada.

The conference was is focused on bearing witness, and how the act of bearing witness can lead to understanding, healing and change.

Kiwanis hopes to make a festive time of year better, with generous donations in the holiday spirit. The club donates money annually, focusing on organizations that help children, then, where donations would make the most difference.

All proceeds will go towards BTEC’s Client Council, which helps decide hoq funds are spent by and for BTEC’s 64 participants.
