Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Ralph David John Watson who passed away, at the age of 80 April 21 in Lloydminster. Ralph was born at Lashburn in November 1930. A prayer service was held during the evening of April 25 from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Lloydminster. His funeral service was held the following afternoon.

The Catholic Ladies Altar Society held a spring luncheon April 13 at the Neilburg Seniors' Centre. They also had a successful bake sale at the event. Rhonda Stasiuk was the winner of a garden basket. The children's basket went to Lucille Gibbons and Greg Dorner and Hazel Koch won stepping stones. The ladies are to be commended on their luncheon as the town water supply was cut off during the function, yet they still managed to sponsor a successful event!
