Vic Juba Theatre offers eight diverse shows in Lloydminster in October

From country music to comedy, ballet to tribute acts, Vic Juba Community Theatre will host eight performances in Lloydminster this October.

LLOYDMINSTER — The Vic Juba Community Theatre is bringing eight great shows to the Border City throughout October.

Menopause The Musical 2: Cruising Through ‘The Change’ will run Oct. 4, bringing a hysterical sequel to the smash-hit Menopause The Musical. Taking place five years later, the beloved ladies set sail for more high jinks on the high seas, with a hilarious and heartfelt look at the joys of menopause and friendship.

On Oct. 7, Saskatchewan-raised Canadian country artist Jess Moskaluke will share a glimpse into her forthcoming new music. After reaching Canadian platinum single status with her hit Cheap Wine and Cigarettes, Moskaluke has earned Canadian gold certifications for other hits, including her first No. 1, Country Girls.

Keeping with the country theme, the world’s leading tribute to Luke Combs — endorsed by the man himself — is coming to Lloydminster Oct. 11. Luke Combs UK is the closest you’ll get to the real deal, with the look and authentic sound of the Grammy-nominated country megastar.

Hailing from Vancouver, B.C., Ty Koch will make a stop in the Border City on Oct. 15. With his unmistakable talent and vocal range, from Frank Sinatra to Jeff Buckley, Koch can seamlessly blend a variety of musical genres. Inspired by blues and rock artists of yesteryear, he injects his fondness for the genre into his original work.

The Jokes on You Comedy Tour will stop by on Oct. 18, with comedian Jeff Leeson taking the stage for a night of live stand-up. With more than 100 million views online, this comedy show is one you do not want to miss.

The Hip Experience will take to the Vic Juba stage Oct. 21, honouring the legacy of Gord Downie and the Tragically Hip. The tribute band navigates the group’s extensive discography, following the iconic Canadian band’s chronological evolution. Through impassioned performances, The Hip Experience breathes new life into timeless melodies, echoing the profound impact of the musical legends.

Multi-award-winning and Juno-nominated Elenee, from Lloydminster, will perform Oct. 24. As a proud Métis citizen with Greek heritage, Elenee has been immersed in music from a young age. Fusing nostalgic influences with faith-driven storytelling, she has solidified her place in the Canadian Christian music scene.

Perfect for all ages, a ballet production of Aladdin with United Ballet Company will take to the stage Oct. 25. Patrons are encouraged to dress in their finest inspired attire to add to the atmosphere. So, grab your magic carpets and let your imagination soar at this unforgettable family experience.
