New Year's Eve in Maymont was celebrated with family and friends enjoying music, games, and door prizes and, as usual, a fantastic potluck lunch.

Thank you everyone for coming and a special thanks to the musicians, Howard Bulmer, Tom Caldwell, Mel Deagnon, John Vanderveen, Bert Carpentier, Kolan Bulmer and Muriel Kotelko and a new musician who helped entertain, John Reddekopp.

Birthday wishes to Cathy Gilliatt who turned the big 50 this year, also to Bill Melrose, Judy Sherman, Sarah Beaudoin, Wendy Davies, Blaire Bernier, Tom Caldwell, Neil Milman, and Lana Spence.

Please join us for wing night Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Maymont Hotel. This event is to support the local girls that are participating in the 2012 Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

Fielding Wildlife Federation held their annual meeting and horn scoring in the Raddisson Hall Dec. 14. Winners were: wildlife photo - Nancy Roth; Canada goose - Dale Roth 11 lb. 6 oz.; jackfish - Greg Ducharme 19 lb. 8 oz.; walleye - Chyanne Roth 3 lb. 12 oz., Masurice Shumanski 8 lb.; moose - Robbie Schmidt 131 2/8; mule deer typical - Greg Ducharme 180 1/8, non-typical - Brian Clair 200 2/8; white-tailed deer typical - ladies' Dianne Kieper 154 4/8, men Al Grombacher 148 2/8, youth Austin Shumanski 129 5/8; non-typical men - Robbie Schmidt 180 3/8, youth - Karigan Prescesky 182 5/8. Door prize winners were Ian Hosegood, and Les Olson.

The secretary is Edna Carnahan, the president is Brian Clair and the past president is Ian Hosegood. Remember to take your hides to the depot at Dale Kieper's. Guest speakers were Les Olson, conservation officer North Battleford and Brad Dahl, Regional 2 director.
