Liam and Emma were the most popular names for babies born in Saskatchewan in 2011. Liam was also the most popular name for baby boys in 2010, while Emma is now the most popular name for baby girls for the third year in a row.

The next most popular names for baby boys born in Saskatchewan in 2011 were Jacob (2), up one spot from 2010 and Ethan (3), down one spot from 2010. Ava and Sophia tied as the second most popular names for baby girls born in Saskatchewan in 2011.

Baby boy names that dropped out of the top 20 in 2011 include Owen, Jack, Samuel, Benjamin, Andrew and Rylan. New entries to the top 20 include Cole, James, Chase, Hudson, Joshua and Caleb.

For girls, Nevaeh, Hannah, Elizabeth, Sarah and Sydney fell from the top 20. Hailey, Mya, Leah, Taylor and Sadie were new to the top 20 for 2011.
