Excitement filled the Maymont Hall Nov. 16 as people entered to see the vendors and their wares. Shopping was great for Christmas gifts and the hall committee men served chili, along with homemade buns donated by Sofie Track and homemade pies donated by Bonnie Milman, Mary Carpentier, Eva Babineau and Pat Beaudoin. Door prizes were given out by the vendors.
Thanks, everyone, for participating and for those who came out to the event.
Way to go, Riders. So proud of you. For those who didn't have faith in the boys when they had a bit of a losing streak, look what they did. Believe!
Geordie Smith started making rattles about 1980. In 1990 Geordie and Liz moved to Ruddell to work at crafts full time and the rattles were a large part of what Geordie did. He has made thousands of them. When Prince George was born it seemed appropriate that Geordie would make him a rattle since his dad had also had one. It was also appropriate that it be presented from the City of North Battleford as it is their centennial year. He hopes to be able to make a rattle for George's baby some day.
Condolences to Doug Sevick and family on the passing of Doug's mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Anyone wishing to attend the seniors' Christmas party at the hotel, please give Kay a call.
There will be a potluck supper in Ruddell Nov. 25. Please join family and friends for this event.
