Loonie pot split three ways

Bingo was played at the Maidstone Drop In Centre Feb. 22 with Bev Stewart and Jim Hartman doing the calling. The loonie pot was divided between Keith Weston, Denise Newton and Tillie Linkert. Jean Hartman provided lunch.

Cribbage was played at the centre Feb. 27. High score went to Ray Hartman and low to Jean Hartman. Jean Hartman provided lunch.

Bingo was played Feb. 29 with Jean Hartman and Bev Stewart doing the calling. Lunch was provided by Bev Stewart.

Friday was a busy day for the seniors as it was John Jesse's funeral at 11 a.m. at the United Church. The members of the seniors' centre provided the funeral lunch at noon with over 125 people attending. A number of seniors then attended World Day of Prayer at the Catholic Church at 2 p.m.

The card game 500 was played March 5. High went to Ray Hartman and low to Hettie Richardson. Margaret MacEachern provided lunch.

Don't forget the centre's stew and biscuit luncheon Thursday, March 15 at noon. It will be followed by bingo. Everyone is welcome.

We have had a nice bit of snow in the lat week. This will help fill the dugouts when it melts. Many farm homes depend on the water in dugouts to supply water for their homes and animals.
