The Chapel Gallery presents a Beginners' Mask Making workshop with Karen Kowalski. The workshop will run Friday, May 4 through Sunday, May 6 at the gallery. This workshop will cover the basics of mask making with each participant creating their own mask.

Participants will also learn about the history of masks in other cultures and how they connect to myths and immortality. Historically, masks have been created so the wearer can tap into power and invincibility.

There are no limits to the emotions and ideas that can be expressed through the mask. This is your opportunity to explore your own creativity and take home a completed work of art.

Registration for this workshop is $150 for gallery members and $200 for non-members. All materials will be supplied. Please contact the Chapel Gallery at 445-1757 for more information.

The Chapel Gallery is located in the Don Ross Centre at 891 - 99th Street and is open from noon to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
