The current exhibition in the main salon of the Chapel Gallery is one of the top exhibitions to come to the gallery this year. Mind the Gap is a collection of work by 14 Saskatchewan artists. Amanda Cachia and Jeff Nye were the co-curators of this show and they wanted to focus on the diversity of talent and work being created by artists in this province.

Anyone with an interest in modern art should take some time to enjoy this exhibition. The pieces range from multi-dimensional to video and sculpture. Some of the artist's names will be familiar - Joel Carignan is from the Battlefords, while Sarah Jane Holtom and Tim Moore have exhibited here before. Viewers will be intrigued by the vibrancy and immediacy of the entire exhibition, including the extraordinary carving by La Ronge's Rob Jerome that is not to be missed.

This exhibition is at the Chapel Gallery from now until June. Mind the Gap was organized and toured by Dunlop Art Gallery. Funders of this exhibition include Saskatchewan Arts Board, Canada Council for the Arts, Regina Public Library and Saskatchewan Publishers Group.

The Chapel Gallery is located in the Don Ross Centre at 891 - 99th Street and is open from noon to 4p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. For more information please contact the Chapel Gallery at 445-1757.
