Last week I wrote about Albert Beaudoin's retirement. Yes, he is still retired. This weekend in Saskatoon at the Saskatoon Inn Albert was guest of honour at another retirement function. Family and friends gathered to wish him well. We were told that he had travelled as far as Washington, Ore. and also to Inuvik, N.W.T. His boss said he knew it was true that Albert was retiring because he handed in his keys and gas card. He also said he will be sadly missed. Albert, we know you're bored, but with summer coming, there will be lots to do.

A birthday party was held at the senior's centre in Maymont with family and friends for Al and Jim Carnahan, John Reddekopp and Margaret (sorry didn't know Margaret's last name). Entertainment was supplied by Tom Caldwell, Mel Deagnon, Howard Bulmer and John Reddekopp.

Condolences to the families of Elsie Nimilowich and Jim Tebay, who have passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families.

There will be a community planning meeting held in the Village of Maymont March 19, at 7 p.m. in the seniors' center. Voice your opinions. Coffee and treats will be served. Everyone is welcome.
