The Waseca Quilters meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. On the third Wednesday of this month the group will be meeting at Pine Island Lodge. We are looking forward to meeting with some of the residents there.
Renee and Morris Donovan spent the past weekend in Regina, primarily to attend their son aaryl's convocation. He graduated as a chartered accountant. They picked up their daughter Lindsey in Saskatoon on the way to Regina, so they were all there for Daryl. Congratulations, Daryl, on your achievement.
The Yellowhead Ramblers will be playing at Pine Island Lodge, Maidstone Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy listening and signing. The Ramblers practice on Wednesdays of each week.
Allan and Eleanor Hinde spent the weekend of Jan. 27 at Manitou Spa. They were joined by Eleanor's two brothers and a sister-in-law, who came from Melville and Churchbridge.
Crystal Hult and her husband, José Mendez and sons Victor and Santiago returned Feb. 1 from a three-week trip to Uruguay where they visited with José's parents and other family members and friends. They were accompanied to Uruguay by Crystal's brother Roland and his wife Angie. They all attended the wedding of José's brother. Ronald and Angie were able to do some sightseeing and they enjoyed the more relaxed lifestyle of the people there.
Temperatures in Uruguay at this time of year hover around 30 C, so they really enjoyed time at the beach.
Ronald and Angie returned home after a 10-day stay.
José's family live in San José province at the town of Boca.
