Signs of spring have been around for quite some time even though it is only mid-March. A few geese have been seen about a month ago. Some crows have returned. Pussy willows are on the willow bushes.

Signs of spring have been around for quite some time even though it is only mid-March. A few geese have been seen about a month ago. Some crows have returned. Pussy willows are on the willow bushes. Of course, with the temperature often in the low teens, the snow has practically disappeared. A heavy snow was forecast for Monday, but then how often have forecasts been right this winter?

Many people from the surrounding area have attended the Scotties and Brier curling playdowns. Among those attending the Brier from Forest Bank were Debbie and Keith Pike and Randy Pike. They spent a number of days enjoying the games and visiting with other people from this area.

Maureen Bexson from Strome, Alta. spent the past week visiting with her sister, Christine Pike. During this time they drove to Cut Knife to visit with their cousin, Marian White. Sunday they attended a Speckle Park bull sale at Jason Goodfellow's.
