The light of Groundhog Day faded without looming shadows into the glow of the Maidstone School Community Council's second annual Snow Ball.

The entire community was invited to gather at the high school for a beef on a bun dinner complete with an abundance of salads and cake. Families and friends visited while they ate and then mingled before the entertainment started.

A photo booth complete with props let people have a little fun and offered a souvenir of the event.

Dennis Maertz welcomed everyone on behalf of the SCC and introduced all of the members to the crowd.

The Ratushniak Elementary School Choir shared two songs they are preparing to sing at the upcoming music festival. Maidstone's High School Band performed a few songs as a group followed by some solo and small group songs.

The children in the audience left their chairs and found seats on the floor shuffling closer to the stage and the young adults they look up to. Community and school, guests of all ages, food and music all bring people closer together in Maidstone.
