Super moon obscured by cloud cover

Monday morning dawned clear and sunny after a weekend of cloudy, showery, windy weather. The evening of May 5 a "super" moon was to be seen. However, here, we were not able to see the moon because of the clouds.

May 6 skies were fairly clear and the moon seemed to still be fairly large.

With recent showers and mild weather, grass is ready to cut, some dandelions are blooming and the leaves are ready to break out on the trees. Farmers are anxious to get out on the land.

Relatives and friends gathered at St. Paul's Church, Forest Bank on the afternoon of April 28 when Rev. Peter Yeunge conducted a funeral and burial service for Eileen Lamont. Following the service a lunch was served at Forest Bank Community Centre where Christine Pike shared a few memories of Eileen.

Following the afternoon events many of those present spent some time at the home of Christine Pike for a buffet supper and visiting.

Kim and Darren Young keep busy. Kim works with Sherry Jurke doing garden work all summer. She beings this week and will be putting in long days during the coming months.

Kim's father, Royce Vizina of Sacramento, Calif. , spent Christmas with Karen and Darren and Family.

Following Christmas they all travelled to Cairo, Ga. were son Dalton was enrolled in a seven-week motocross course. The weather was enjoyable. Following that they returned home.

Son Maverick did not travel with them as he was busy in his business, Scorpion Cycle and Auto Service, in Lloydminster.

Dalton will be at home and will be following the motocross circuit in Alberta.
