During the month of March, the Richard, Maymont and Ruddell communities were saddened by the loss of three of their own.
March 3, James (Jim) Tebay passed away at the age of 94. The service for Jim was held March 10 from Sharon United Church in Maymont with Rev. Jo-Ann Hills officiating. He was buried in the Maymont Cemetery. Jim farmed with his wife, Isobel, north of Maymont for many years.
March 5, Elsie Nimilowich passed away. Elsie was born in Rabbit Lake in 1946. She became the Ruddell postmistress and served the community well until her passing.
March 10, Kenneth Wright, originally from Richard area passed away on his farm in rural Battleford. Ken was born and raised on a farm in the Richard area and later he farmed with his dad, Graham Wright, and was a dedicated farmer. Service for Ken was held at Living Faith Chapel, North Battleford with Pastor Deb McNabb officiating.
Sympathy is extended to the Wright, Nimilowich and Tebay families.
