The monthly meeting of the Maidstone Museum was held Monday, Sept. 23 with a poor attendance. President Mae Hinde was in the chair and a number of subjects were covered.

The North West Museum Association fall meeting will be held Oct. 19 at the senior centre in Lashburn, hosted by the Lashburn Museum members. Registration time is 9 to 10 a.m.

The were two fun days held for children during the summer and two white jackets, one black jacket and one moss green jacket were left behind. These can be picked up by calling Mae Hinde at 306-893-4030.

A visitor the other day was "A Crazy Girl on a Bike" named Rae. She is biking on the less traveled highways from Prince Rupert, B.C. to Winnipeg, Man. She is stopping at different spots where her ancestors may have been. Bill McGillvary was working that day and showed her around. She had found the burial site of some relatives in the Lashburn cemetery. She hoped to reach Battleford by nightfall.
