The Reigning Riders got together at Brian and Darcy Yasieniuks' ranch Oct. 6 for another fun day.
Enbridge and 4-H Canada put on a contest where members get together and construct their vision of where 4-H is headed in the future. They are generously donating a total of $8,500 to clubs around Canada who enter a 45-second video in the contest.
Our day began with voting on what we saw as our future. We then went outside and got started on videotaping. We stopped for a quick lunch then continued doing our project until we were satisfied we had enough footage for our video.
After we were done with that we moved on to our annual man tracker fundraiser. We would like to thank everyone who bought poker hands from us. The winner of the highest hand was Brian Fendelet who won $178, second highest hand went to Jeanne Boyenko who won $107. The lowest poker hand went to Cole Reed who won $70.
The winners of the man tracker game who never got spotted once were Matthew Flath and Riley Yasieniuk.
After that was suppertime. Every family brought a pot of chilli for our chili cook off. This was the first year Rhonda Erickson did not win. The winner of the cook off was Dan Blais.
Our night ended with everyone around the TV watching the dramatic season premiere of Heartland.
We are very excited to be starting a new year with much more fun events to come.
