Music, dance, costumes and boundless enthusiasm brought the story of Pinocchio to life as the students in Division II at Ratushniak Elementary School in Maidstone presented No Strings Attached just prior to the February break.

The catchy songs had students singing for weeks as they practised and during the performance they were polished and fun.

Dancers in the musical numbers included pickpockets, fish, donkey children, marionettes and wishing stars in the dark. Every number was unique, bringing together students from the various classes.

The principal characters were well-prepared and looked as if they were genuinely enjoying their time on the stage. The script included many humourous lines delivered with great timing as the young men playing Cricket and Pinocchio stole the show.

Costumes and set pieces brought vibrant colour to the performance that was at the same time familiar and brand new.

All students in Division II worked together to present an exciting show demonstrating the talent of the children and the staff and volunteers.
