MAIDSTONE – May 24 was movie night at the Drop In Centre with 15 people in attendance. The movie was How to Train Your Dragon 2. The door prize was won by Payton Beccotte. Next movie will be in September.

MELFORT — Despite the heavy downpour that covered Melfort, the 30th annual Show and Shine car show continued with cars new and old.

The place to be Friday evening was the Battlefords River Valley Visitor Centre where the Canadian Mental Health Association - Battlefords Branch held their Garden Party.

HUMBOLDT — Summer Sizzler-goers assembled at Humboldt’s fourth annual comic-con to partake in its largest iteration yet. The June 15 comic convention hosted 40 booths, “which is awesome,” said lead organizer Jeff Burton.
