MAIDSTONE – Cribbage was played on Monday, Jan. 14 with high score going to a tie between Bev Stewart and Jean Hartman. Low went to Lois Myer. Lunch was provided by Bev Stewart. Bingo was played Wednesday, Jan.

HUMBOLDT — Sitting down at the Gathering Place has received a major upgrade. Due to two donations equalling $10,000 from the Good Neighbour Store, the Gathering Place was able to buy 150 new chairs, plus three storage carts.

CARROT RIVER, BRUNO, STAR CITY, WYNYARD — A literal band of brothers, a singer, a musical theatre performance and a ukulele player will performed at in this year’s Telemiracle.

HUMBOLDT — A fundraiser to support an organization that preserves local wetlands and grasslands was sold out.

HUMBOLDT — A joint effort between the Humboldt Broncos and the Humboldt Soup Kitchen raised more than $2,000 for the non-profit. The soup kitchen serves between 65 and 90 people every Tuesday at the Gathering Place.

MAIDSTONE – The biggest topic around the apartments is the weather. No one has gone very far or done much visiting, so not too much news as of Feb. 19. We are glad to have Marilyn Stewart home and doing quite well.
