Creative Kids in the Battlefords will be hosting the sixth annual Celebrate Kids event Sunday, March 5, with performances by Community Youth Choir, Prince Albert Children's Choir, The Remnants, Anjuli Dynna, Kinsmen Saxophone Quartet, Battleford Comm

This last weekend was pretty nice, as many folks found their way to the small community of Mayfair, north east of North Battleford, to enjoy a tasty roast beef dinner and enjoy the play, put on by local actors, called "One Toe in the Grave.

Ruddell had a pot luck supper Feb. 13. Food Hampers were won by first prize, Mark Schmidt. Second place went to Ernie E. Voegeli, third to Tom Pain.

Orolow Ukrainian Catholic Church northeast of Borden held their Snowmobile Rally Feb. 25 , but because of lack of snow it became a 22 mile ride on ATV’s, with about 20 riders taking part.

Cribbage was played Monday, Feb. 13, with high score going to Lois Myer and low score to Bev Stewart, who also supplied lunch. The January-February pot luck luncheon was held Feb. 15 with 14 seniors in attendance. Rev.

Congratulations to Bev and Darrell Pollard as they are now grandparents for the twelfth time. Bev's son Shawn Ferron and Amber have added a baby girl to their family as of Feb.

“Food fair,” an event showcasing Saskatchewan and Canadian-grown foods, was planned by two teachers at John Paul II Collegiate as part of Canadian Agriculture Day.

Over the last few weeks, three of this year’s Festival adjudicators were introduced. Marcia McLean, the adjudicator opening the Battlefords Music Festival, for vocal solo, duets, ensembles, and choir entries from Saturday, April 1 – Monday, April 3.
