In the Community

The final month of school has arrived. Students and staff are busy completing courses and the Grade 12s are preparing for graduation and then their final exams. The One School, One Book program is now completed.

We are very thankful for the much-needed rain as there was different recorded amounts throughout the area. Everything seeded should grow rapidly now if the sun will co-operate.

As a club, Eagle Hills Multiple 4-H Club members do many fundraisers throughout the year and are grateful for all the generous donations and continuous support we get from our community.

Kevin Steinborn is getting ready for a big transition in his life. After three decades with North Battleford FireDepartment, Steinborn is retiring May 31 from his duties as Deputy fire chief in charge of prevention.

The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fill the following service positions: On Call Volunteers – Evergreen Health Centre, Leoville.

Everybody Has a Story

It’s the last week of our fifth month of 2016. As we head into summer, enjoy the sights and smells of Saskatchewan summer around you.

District No. 22 hosted the North West Regional 4-H public speaking competition April 3 in Langham. There were 37 talented and brave speakers talking on a wide variety of topics. Some made you laugh, some made you think and some taught you something.

Track and field season has arrived. Maymont Cental School Students have been outside running, practising high jump, throwing the javelin and many more activities.
