The air was cool but the skies were clear to view the total eclipse of the September moon, which has some different names.

During Culture Days on Sept. 25 to 27, ARC Creative Studios opened the studio to the public, offering an opportunity to participate in ‘creative’ artistic possibilities. Over the three days the studio was full.

The time is getting closer to help celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Maymont Memorial Hall featuring the Sloan Family. Make sure to mark it on your Calendar for Oct. 17 starting at 7:30 p.m.

The school held their annual Terry Fox Run Sept. 30 and collected $430. A video was shown of Terry Fox and his valiant effort to run across Canada and of how the run every year has generated millions of dollars for cancer research across Canada.

Kolin, Cheryl Bulmer and family are mourning the loss of Kolin's father, Howard Bulmer, who was a resident at River Heights Lodge in North Battleford. Howard and his wife Effie previously farmed in the Lilac area.

The drive to Livelong Oct. 2 was so pretty with the leaves turning from green to every shade of yellow and so bright in places. Against the spruce trees they really showed up beautifully. There were a couple skunks and porcupines dead on the highway.

LIVELONG — The drive to Livelong on an overcast morning Oct. 2 was gorgeous with the fall colours so brilliant. Seniors from all around were meeting for the annual games day hosted by the Livelong Lakesiders Seniors’ Club. Registration was at 9:30 a.

World Teacher Day was Oct. 5. It is a public awareness campaign to highlight the contributions of the teaching profession. It seeks to acknowledge both the dedication and commitment of the teachers of the world.
