September has everyone back in the swing of things with school starting Sept. 2 and many organizations and events back from the summer hiatus. Saturday Delta Coop is hosting a "show and shine" in their parking lot. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.

"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep." - Scott Adams Just a few attended the Battlefords Art Club session at the Don Ross Centre this Tuesday.

When the iconic Nitty Gritty Dirt Band played for 1,200 people at Paradise Hill's Summer Bash, a young musician from North Battleford was the opening act. It was a dream come true for Bruin Eberle.

It was a sunny but breezy afternoon for the celebration of the Fred Light Museum's main building's 100th birthday. The former St. Vital School has been home to the museum since it opened in 1980.

Waseca seems to be very quiet these days. The summer activities are completed and I expect many people are enjoying a few days at the lakes. Next week things will change as a new school year begins.

Another CCA rodeo is in the books for Edam. The amateur bull riding was held Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. The top six of 20 riders moved onto the short go. Once again professional rodeo clown, Dennis Halstead, entertained those in attendance.

Jean Stewart has had an enjoyable week visiting with family and relatives. Sunday a niece, Monica and Brian Denis of Edmonton, Alta., nephew, Barry Innes of Tomahawk, Alta,, Laureen Innes of Winnipeg, Man.

The last few days have been much cooler. We did have some very warm weather previous to the cooler, cloudy time. It seemed much warmer because of the high humidity which is rather unusual in this area.

A birthday party was held on Aug. 21 for Lillian Cornell, who reached the age of 110.

Those Were the Days was held at the Western Development Museum Aug. 9 and 10. Stanley Mills spent a few days helping get some of the many old antique gas tractors ready for the show and daily parade.
