North Battleford city council has approved a change order to its Capital Works projects to add the work for the 100th Street service road project in the north end.
The change order is to the existing Capital Works contracts for underground utilities by Sanburn Construction in the amount of $180,365.89, and roadways work by G&C Asphalt, a division of N.P.A Ltd, in the amount of $566,544.58, for a total of $746,910.47.
This change order adds the underground and roadways work on the 100th Street service road, running from 20th Avenue to the mall access, to their existing Capital Works contracts.
The project was one of those approved under the Municipal Economic Enhancement Program. MEEP funding covers $607,472 while the city’s tab is $139,438.47 funded from its capital projects reserves.
Construction is to last into the fall. The completion date for roadways is Oct. 15, and for the underground work it is Sept. 15.
