Work on the 100th Street Rehabilitation Project from 14th to 20th Avenue has been completed.

In a release issued Friday afternoon, the City of North Battleford said it is pleased to announce 100th Street is now open.

This UPAR (Underground Pipeline and Asphalt Replacement) Project began on July 13 and was originally expected to continue into early October. Work on this project included surface milling, a full water main replacement, underground spot repairs, underground electrical reconstruction and street light improvements.

The 2015 UPAR Program is budgeted at $2.5 million with this $1.484 million project completed ahead of schedule and under budget, said the City release, and is one of the first projects completed through in-house engineering. In-house engineering was a recommendation of the 2014 Customer Service Review.

The City has expressed its thanks to residents and business owners for their patience during these drastic and important improvements.
