12-year-old charged with hit and run

More than 30 calls for service were made to the Battlefords RCMP detachment between 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10.

More than 30 calls for service were made to the Battlefords RCMP detachment between 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10.

Included in those calls were three false alarms, eight traffic investigations or complaints, four false or nuisance 911 calls and four municipal bylaw or disturbance complaints.

Tuesday

11:52 a.m. - 54-year-old woman facing charge of failing to comply with probation.

2:07 p.m. - Report of 30-year-old man missing last seen on 107th Street.Subject residence checked overnight several times, whereabouts remain unknown.No suspicion of foul play at this time.

3:02 p.m. - 12-year-old youth charged with hit and run on 1000 block of 108th Street. Accused alleged to have taken a family vehicle and struck another vehicle. Minor damage to both vehicles involved.

4:58 p.m. - 57-year-old man arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 after attempting to shoplift a fridge from a business on 100th Street.He has since been released and will make his first appearance in court Monday, Oct. 6.The fridge has been returned to the business.

7:10 p.m. - Report of a shoplifting incident at a business on Railway Avenue East.Two perpetrators described as a Aboriginal woman in her 50s and a thin Caucasian male with blonde hair in his 20s.

8:32 p.m. - Report of theft of gasoline from a business on Railway Avenue East.

11:47 p.m. - Report of a windshield of a vehicle parked on 1000 block of 109th Street damaged.

Wednesday

12:58 a.m. - 39-year-old man arrested for public intoxication. He was found by patrolling members wondering down 14th Avenue in his underwear.

Please be advised the survey equipment reported found the previous week has now been returned to it's rightful owner.
