UPDATE: Marcus Lafond has been found safe and sound
HERITAGE LAKE — Smeaton RCMP are asking for the public's help to locate 13-year-old Marcus Lafond.
On Aug. 4, Lafond was at Heritage Lake with a group of other youths. He was last seen walking away from them around 4:30 p.m.
It is believed that Marcus may have been hitch-hiking near the junction of Highway 120 and 913 around 6 p.m. He has ties to the Prince Albert, Shellbrook and Big River areas, but it’s unclear where he may be going.
Marcus is described as 5 foot 3 inches tall, slight build, brown eyes, brown hair that is longer on top and short around the sides and wears thick, black rimmed glasses. He was last seen wearing light grey sweat pants, a white “Crooks and Castles” hoodie, a black baseball hat, black Adidas running shoes with three stripes and carrying a black and brown camouflage print backpack. It is believed that his backpack contains other clothing.
Those with information are asked to contact the Smeaton RCMP at 306-426-2630 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
