Battlefords RCMP responded to 142 calls for service over the weekend.
According to RCMP, there were 36 charges in total, 35 of which were charges for driving infractions including one traffic collision and two impaired driving charges. The last charge was for assault.
The assault charge involved two parties known to each other. There were no weapons involved and no injuries.
Battlefords RCMP are reminding the public that they are increasing their enforcement initiatives including all provincial and federal statutes.
“We take the safety and security of our public very seriously and continue to bring in additional resources to aid in these initiatives,” states a release from Battlefords RCMP.
