20-year-old charged after car break-in

Battlefords RCMP were called out to more than 20 occurrences between 6 a.m. Thursday, April 24 and 6 a.m. Friday, April 25. Among those calls were three false alarms, five false/nuisance 911 calls and four traffic related complaints.

Thursday


11:40 a.m. - Criminal harassment complaint involving person who recently ended a relationship.  Investigation ongoing.


3:08 p.m. - Sexual assault reported, alleged to have occurred several months earlier.  All parties known to each other.  Investigation ongoing.


6:52 p.m. - Two men, 43 and 50, arrested for public intoxication on 100th Street, located very intoxicated by patrolling members.


7:30 p.m. - Report of a man smashing out a window to a vehicle on Winder Crescent.  20-year-old man was located on scene and arrested.  Subject facing charges of mischief, resisting arrest and four counts of failing to comply with probation.  Accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court Friday, April 25.


10:29 p.m. - Report of intoxicated man trying to get into a residence on 111th Street.  Subject known to complainant and left when police called.  Complainant did not want matter pursued and no further complaints received.


Friday


1:27 a.m. - Intoxicated woman at a business unable/refusing to pay outstanding bill.  Members attended and subject managed to locate the required cash and a sober friend drove her home.


2:16 a.m. - Reported assault.  Complainant advising she was at a house party and was assaulted by unknown person, was quite intoxicated and might be pregnant.  Members attended locatation of alleged incident and found no party occurring.
