Battleford Housing Authority (has named the grand prize winners of the 2015 Yard Pride Contest.
BHA organizes a yard pride contest every year to celebrate and encourage excellence in yard care, according to Operations Manager Cheryl Cook-Taylor.
“So many BHA tenants have simply lovely yards and we like to acknowledge the time and effort they put into caring for their yards,” she said.
Monthly winners are selected throughout June, July and August. From those winners, grand prize winners are then selected and share in more than $400 in prizes.
This year’s grand prize winners were Greg Lavallee and Fern Holmes, Melody Payne, Tracy Antoine, and Christopher and Kerri Tipewan. Winners all received Super A gift cards.
“Yard care in Battleford was again excellent in 2015,” said Cook-Taylor. “In fact, it was a real challenge selecting our winners as so many of our tenants really excelled this year.”
BHA exists to ensure, on behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, that adequate, affordable, and well-maintained housing is accessible to all residents of Battleford. BHA manages 103 rental units for families and senior citizens in Battleford.
