4-H Saskatchewan has announced a total of 11 scholarships totalling $8,500 recently awarded to 4-H members throughout the province.
Among the recipients is Jacqueline Toews of Glaslyn, who is receiving this year's Western Producer Scholarship ($1,000). This scholarship is available to 4-H members entering a diploma or degree program related to agriculture, agribusiness or the rural economy of Saskatchewan.
Kaitlyn Polegi of Jedburgh and Joseph Laing of Unity are the recipients of the William Cooper Entrepreneurship Scholarship ($1,000 each) offered to Saskatchewan 4-H members. These scholarships represent Mr. Cooper's commitment to the areas of youth leadership and entrepreneurialism in the agricultural sector. It is open to Saskatchewan 4-H members entering an entrepreneurial program or business initiative who demonstrate exceptional enthusiasm and awareness of the entrepreneurial concept.
Bethany Harland of Frenchman Butte, Laura Lynne Miller of Hudson Bay, Makayla Rettger of Aberdeen and Sydney Lake of Turtleford are the four recipients of the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Scholarship ($750 each). These scholarships are available to 4-H members entering a degree program at the University of Saskatchewan or the University of Regina.
Other recipients are Catherine Lang of Colonsay, Cody Gabruch of Consul, Caitlyn Martin of Maple Creek and Derek Andreas of Sheho.
