In the 24 hours between 6 a.m. - Thursday and 6 a.m. - Friday, Battlefords RCMP investigated 40 occurrences.
Thursday
12:24 p.m. - Complaint of male sleeping behind a business on Railway Avenue East. 45-year-old male arrested for being drunk in public. Held in custody and later released on Liquor Act charges.
1:08 p.m. - Second 45-year-old male arrested for being drunk in public near a second business on Railway Avenue East. Held in custody until sober.
2:15 p.m. - 20-year-old male arrested from being drunk in public on the 1200 block of 101st Street. Found also to have outstanding warrants for breach of probation. Held for court at 9:30 a.m. - Nov. 1.
4:36 p.m. - Complaint of impaired driver. 53-year-old male from Cochin located north of city on Highway 4 and now facing impaired driving charges.
5:31 p.m. - Complaint of eggs thrown at property. Child under 12 identified as suspect.
6:55 p.m. - Request to locate missing 55-year-old male. Located a short time later, safe.
7:15 p.m. - Report of an assault on 1100 block of 100th Street. Upon arrival alleged suspect and victim had left. No further reports made.
8:04 p.m. - Home owner returned to residence on Winder Crescent and found it insecure. Residence cleared and nothing found missing.
8:10 p.m. - 53-year-old male charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian after a 13-year-old girl was injured in a collision with a vehicle on 100th Street. Injuries not believed to be life threatening.
9:00 p.m. - Complaint of intoxicated males causing a disturbance on the 1100 block of 101st Street. A 77-year-old male and a 30-year-old male both taken into custody for public intoxication.
9:38 p.m. - 25-year-old male arrested on outstanding warrants located on 110th Street and 8th Avenue.
10:51 p.m. - Complaint of a male and female yelling on the 1000 block of 107th street. Intoxicated male located, having argument after being kicked out of party. Subject sent home via a cab.
10:51 p.m. - Call to a residence on the 900 block of 110th Street of a youth being disrespectful and not going to bed. Important enough to call twice. Mediated by members.
11:49 p.m. - Two intoxicated person causing problems at a residence on 1100 block of 106th Street. Subjects gone upon police arrival.
Friday
12:33 a.m. - Report of an assault on Railway Avenue East. Investigation revealed matter an argument. Complaintant assisted in retrieving effects and both parties separated for the night.
1:20 a.m. - Call of intoxicated person causing problems at a home on 1100 block of 106th Street. Subject left scene when police called and was not located. Subject came about around 5 a.m. to cause more problems at the home and a second call was made. Subject left scene again.
1:22 a.m. - Several complaints of mischief and loud noises on 1900 block of St Laurent Drive. 22-year-old suspect later arrested in rural area on other outstanding matters. Charges are still pending.
1:34 p.m. - Complaint of intoxicated male at a residence on 1400 block of 98th Street causing problems. One male complaining of subject being drunk causing problems. The other male said it was the complainant. Complainant's mother then woke up and told both to be quiet and go to bed.
1:55 a.m. - 17-year-old male arrested for being drunk in public on 1000 block of 108th Street. Also found to have outstanding warrants and facing new charges of possession of a controlled substance.
4:34 p.m. - Complainant calling police to say she is being assaulted but refused to give her name or where she was. Called back and stated she was now home and didn't want the police anymore and refused to co-operate or give the name of the suspect.
Police also responded to four alarm to businesses/residences, all false, and several driving complaints throughout the day involving erratic driving behaviour.
