In excess of sixty calls for service/occurrences reported to Battlefords RCMP and 22 arrests were made over three day period from 6 a.m., Friday, Dec. 20 to 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23. There were also five alarm calls, all false, and four false/nuisance 911 calls.
Friday, Dec. 20
9:19 a.m. - Intoxicated male causing a disturbance on 103rd Street. 51-year-old male arrested for being drunk in public.
11:03 a.m. - Unwanted/threatening text messages. Suspect spoken to and warned after investigation. No charges pursued as per wishes of complainant.
3:09 p.m. - Complaint of disturbance/harassment on Railway Avenue East. All parties spoken to. All agreed to avoid further confrontations.
3:18 p.m. - Stolen purse reported on 110th Street. Purse later recovered, cash was missing.
5:28 p.m. - Complaint of harassment/unwanted phone calls. As per wishes of complainant, suspect located and warned about behaviour.
6:56 p.m. - Assault reported on 1300 block of 101st Street. No injuries to alleged victim. Suspect known to victim and matter remains under investigation.
9:02 p.m. - 14-year-old male arrested for Breach of Deferred Custody Order on 105th Street after complaint of disturbance. Remanded in custody until next court appearance on Monday Dec. 23.
10:50 p.m. - Report of a fight involving several people on 101st Street. A 36-year-old male was located on scene suffering from a head injury after reportedly being struck in the head with a bottle. Three males were arrested by members in connection with incident. An 18-year-old male is facing charges of assault and disturbing the peace. He was remanded to North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday Dec. 23 at 9:30 a.m. He also was arrested for an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault. A 19-year-old male is facing charges of assault with a weapon and disturbing the peace and was remanded into custody for Monday, Dec. 23. He also was arrested for outstanding warrants for aggravated assault and impaired driving. A 26-year-old male is facing charges of disturbing the peace and uttering threats. He has since been released for a first appearance in the new year. The victim of the assault was treated and released.
11:45 p.m. - 32-year-old male arrested on 101st Sreet for outstanding warrants out of Rosthern.
Saturday, Dec. 21
1:34 a.m. - 24-year-old male facing charges of impaired driving and driving while over .08 after vehicle stop on 109th Street. Released for first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Jan. 27, 2014.
2:13 a.m. - Report of uttering threats via the internet.
2:22 a.m. - 30-year-old male charged with care and control while impaired, refusing to provide a breath sample and driving while disqualified after a vehicle check on Panton Avenue. Later released for a first appearance in the new year.
2:24 p.m. - 911 call to residence on 108th Street. Initial complaint states there were people at the residence trying to stab the complainant's cousins but no other details given. Caller would only swear at dispatchers and hung up when asked for location. After call backs, address was confirmed and member located complainant who now stated everything was fine. Stated someone punched him but would not cooperate with police or provide any other information.
2:42 a.m. - 18-year-old arrested for assault after complaint of a disturbance on Killdeer Drive. Investigations ongoing.
3:20 a.m. - 40-year-old woman arrested for mischief after complaint of intoxicated female causing a disturbance at a residence on 108th Street. Since released without charges.
6:58 a.m. - 25-year-old male arrested for public intoxication after complaint of male sleeping in the lobby of a business. Held in custody until sober.
9:44 a.m. - 38-year-old male reported missing, last seen 8 a.m. previous day. Located shortly before 1 p.m.
10:19 a.m. - 911 call to residence on Ross Crescent of an intoxicated male causing problems. Upon arrival, both subjects at residence were very intoxicated. Subjects agreed to separate until sober to avoid further conflict and members gave ride to male at residence to another safe location.
11:18 a.m. - Single vehicle collision on bridges. Vehicle lost control and struck guard rail causing significant damage to front of vehicle which was towed from scene. Driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
12:53 p.m. - Report of a vehicle striking a garage on 107th Street. Vehicle and driver confirmed during investigation on incident which appears to have occurred just before 5 a.m. Matter still under investigation.
8:09 p.m. - Report of missing 58-year-old male from Railway Avenue East. Later confirmed to have arrived at a family residence safe and sound.
9:20 p.m. - Suspicious persons checking vehicles on 106th Street. Extensive patrols made of area negative.
9:30 p.m. - 30-year-old male arrested for being drunk in public on 101st Street, located by members wandering in and out of traffic.
11:05 p.m. - Fireworks/firecrackers complaint on 108th Street. Source of complaint not located.
Sunday, Dec. 22
12:33 a.m. - Complaint of three persons fighting on Railway Avenue East. A 19-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were arrested for public intoxication. A 25-year-old man was also arrested on scene and charged with three counts of breach of probation.
4:12 a.m. - Intoxicated woman knocking on doors in apartment building on 99th Street. 66-year-old female located and assistance given to correct address.
4:39 a.m. - Two males, ages 17 and 23, arrested at a residence on 101st Street and complaint of unwanted, intoxicated guests refusing to leave. Both held in custody until sober.
6:58 a.m. - A 21-year-old male has been arrested and charged with assault, uttering threats and forcible confinement after an incident at a residence on the 1300 block of 107th Street. The charges stem from a domestic violence incident. The victim sustained minor injuries in the altercation. The male has been remanded into custody and was set to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday Dec. 23, at 9:30 a.m.
12:25 p.m. - 14-year-old female arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to appear at court.
12:39 p.m. - Report of disturbance/fight on Railway Avenue East. Suspects gone from area when police arrived.
4:02 p.m. - Report of harassing/threatening text messages.
7:37 p.m. - Break and enter to a residence on 800 block of 109th Street. Various property reported taken.
Monday, Dec. 23
12:43 a.m. - Complaint of intoxicated persons causing a disturbance on Railway Avenue East. A 19-year-old woman and a 28-year-old woman were arrested for being drunk in public. The 19-year-old is also being charged with one count of assaulting a police officer after she bit a member in the arm while being lodged in cells. She was to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23.
