GRONLID — A Main Street Gronlid business was broken into through the front door. Several items were stolen. Melfort RCMP are asking for any help to identify any suspects. Melfort RCMP said the crime took place sometime between Jan. 17 and 19.

Light of Christ School Division is reporting that Saskatchewan Health Authority has informed them of a case of COVID-19 involving an individual at Notre Dame School. The division is working with Public Health to inform parents and caregivers.

EAST CENTRAL — The mayor of Naicam is running for the top spot of the Municipalities of Saskatchewan.

The case against an Onion Lake woman accused of killing Braden Alfred James Sparvier, 26, continues to be adjourned. Shari Heathen, 27, was scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Jan.

HUMBOLDT — A school bus compound in Humboldt was broken into. Fire extinguishers were taken from buses and then sprayed inside a bus, causing more than $1,000 in damage. Humboldt RCMP said the crime took place between 11 a.m. on Jan. 1 and 6 a.m.

The city of North Battleford is reporting there is a street closure today along the western half of 12th Ave. between 101st and 102nd Street. The street is closed with no through traffic.

Two men arrested after allegedly throwing a loaded firearm out the window of their car while police were attempting to stop them, appeared in Meadow Lake Provincial Court.
