Edam General Store sustained serious damage from a fire in the early hours of Wednesday according to Turtleford RCMP. Emergency services were called to the scene at 3:15 a.m. RCMP say Edam Fire Department contained the fire to that building.

A fire Wednesday afternoon has left a house in Wilkie with significant smoke and fire damage, according to Wilkie RCMP. The fire was reported shortly before 3 p.m. in the 500 block of 4th Street West.

The City of North Battleford has received an amended Permit to Operate a Waterworks for its water treatment plant and distribution system. It was issued by the Water Security Agency and took effect Dec. 1.
