Battleford town council has picked the location for the new seniors’ fitness park. At their council meeting Monday, council agreed to a location in the grassy area just northeast of the Alex Dillabough Centre.

Battleford Mayor Ames Leslie has expressed his condolences to the City of Meadow Lake after they lost the Meadow Lake & District Arena in a major fire on the weekend. Leslie spoke on the topic at the start of Battleford’s town council meeting Monday.

Guy’s Furniture will be the venue on Sunday, June 13 for spin classes in support of raising money for mental health. The spin classes are being hosted by Hustle House Spin, which opened last July.

Stanley Mission RCMP arrested a woman and seized a large quanitity of unlawfully-possessed alcohol following a traffic stop. On June 5 at approximately 11:30 p.m.

Lloydminster Saskatchewan Provincial Court will be converted to a circuit point court Sept.1. The court will function similar to the province’s other 61 circuit points.

MELFORT — As part of the City of Melfort’s continued efforts to promote physical activity, the city has joined the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge and will be holding a sports day with larger than normal sport equipment.
