TISDALE — Graduates of Tisdale Middle and Secondary School can do anything they dream of, said the class of 2019’s valedictorian.

“Whatever the future holds for you, we’re so brave and outgoing that we can do anything we wish to, so I wish all the best to my friends and my class,” Allison Elmsie said.

The graduation ceremony was held on June 27.

“We’re such a unique group. We have been unbelievably close over our high school years, there are too many memories to count,” Elmsie said.

The first memory that was brought to her mind was the grad barbeques.

“They were awesome, we had such a good time there. We just played games and saw everyone’s families. The grad barbeques for sure set it over the top this year,” Elmsie said.

“One person, they have a grad barbeque and everyone comes. Pretty much the whole grade is in someone’s backyard and we just play a whole bunch of games and everyone’s family is there and it’s amazing. It really brought us together.”

She said this year’s grad class gets along well.

“When we have an outing everyone is included and it’s amazing,” she said. “We spent more time together in Grade 11. In Grade 10 there wasn’t much to do but everyone was in sports and everyone was in a couple classes together and that’s when we came together.”

The 18-year-old is planning on moving to Saskatoon for Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s therapeutic recreation program.
