In February, there was a big community turnout at the CUplex to lend support to efforts to land the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games.

Late in February, Kramer Auctions was the main hub of activity as the Battlefords Trail Blazers club hosted the Provincial Snowmobile Festival.

In January, the Chapel Gallery hosted the Walking With Our Sisters exhibition, a memorial to missing and murdered Indigenous women.

In April, the Provincial Association of Fire Chiefs held their conference in North Battleford. In their down time, attendees had a chance to try their hand at archery at Battle River Archers.

July saw the provincial 55-plus Games held in the Battlefords. The opening ceremonies welcomed 55-plus athletes from regions across the province.

The Treaty Six Community History Showcase and Traditional Powwow took place at the Battlefords Ag Society grounds in May.
