Access Communications had announced its recipients of Centennial Scholarships for 2016.
More than $34,000 in scholarships were awarded to 171 high school graduates across Saskatchewan, including a number from the Northwest.
Earning scholarships are: Cut Knife - Aleksi Anseth; Edam - Zachary Gordon; Glaslyn - Taylor Sayers; Lashburn - Logan Henri; Leask - Alisha Ledoux; Maidstone - Mackenzie Durocher; Maymont - Carlee Hamilton; Neilburg - Madison Fouhse; North Battleford - Kiley Elmer, Brittany Fineday and Courtney Wehrhahn; Paradise Hill - Justine Leer; Spiritwood - Taylor Olson; St. Walburg - Chelsea Peterson; Turtleford - Stuart Matthews; Unity - Byron Hauta; and Wilkie - Hayley Risling.
Access Communications has invested $275,000 in post - secondary education plans for high school graduates across Saskatchewan since 2005.;
“We encourage and reward volunteerism,” says Jim Deane, president and CEO, Access Communications Co-operative, in a statement.
“Our scholarship program recognizes students for making a difference in their communities, in addition to academic success.”
